Migrating (not upgrading) Joomla 1.0.15 to Joomla 1.5.3

Has anybody successfully migrated a site from J1.0.15 to J1.5.3? I've uploaded the migrator component into the older version and downloaded the modified sql database for uploading during an install of 1.5.3 but I get an error message. I think the problem lies in having jos_ as the source prefix and having to name the new database prefix jos_ too. I don't want to overwrite the original website and database until I'm sure the new site works okay. Has anyone successfully done this on Plusnet's humbug DB? (or even rumpus)
I've asked a similar question on the Joomla migration forum but no answer yet.

That is very, very wierd
Just had another go (having had three previous attempts) and it worked this time Despite the instructions saying that the new DB prefix must be jos_ it accepted my new one.  So it does work!
