Legacy Webspace allocation

I still use the legacy 250MB Webspace that came with my Plusnet broadband.

If I logon to plusnet and visit 'manage your webspace', it tells me:-

Webspace Allocation: 250MB

Webspace Used: 0MB 0%

Webspace Free: 250MB 100%

This is clearly nonsense.

How can I find out how much free space I have remaining?

I have accidently exceeded the allowance in the past.

It can be a real pain to get things restored after that happens.

Re: Legacy Webspace allocation

Hi @briank

It's showing the same on our end as well from what I can see.

Can you confirm that you see files there if you FTP into your webspace?

After the 3rd of November I will have a limited presence here as I have moved to a new role

Re: Legacy Webspace allocation

WS_FTP shows the htdocs folder content to be 239.21MB. That's close to the maximum allocation.

If accidentally exceeded, it triggers an automated email from 'Plusnet Abuse'! and the webspace ends up locked out.

Plusnet reporting zero webspace usage has been an on-going issue since August 2023.

I reported the problem back then but nothing has changed.

Re: Legacy Webspace allocation

I also had some legacy webspace but ignored until I needed to send a video to someone.

Loading the file into the webspace was fine.

The download by my cousin triggered a bandwidth usage violation, slapped a warning on my webspace which nobody knew how to remove.

I got the impression it was managed by Greybeards like myself and these had all retired or changed jobs.

It was worse than useless, get a cheap VPS instead
