Is g.fast ever coming my way?

This is of the streetview of my cabinet, I think and what looks to my untrained eye like it might have a g.fast pod attached. The thinkbroadband data says it has g.fast and has done for ages. It's Evesham cabinet 20. But g.fast hasn't been available to order, isn't shown on the BT wholesale site, isn't offered to me through any ISP package page I can find.

Should it be available, is there any way I can find out why it's seemingly there but not being offered to me? The cabinet's pretty close.

Unfortunately you can't tell any more what is inside the pods as Openreach are known for supplying g.fast & VDSL2 expansion pods in the same casing.

In any case according to Codelook, g.fast isnt available yet at cabinet 20.

It says FTTC to 80Mbps and no plans for FTTP.

I tried suggesting to thinkbroadband that their data was probably wrong and they seemed pretty sure it wasn't, but I think they must have it wrong. At least I have an explanation for what looked to me like the kit being installed. Thanks.

(Is this not about fibre broadband? Anyway...)

I've heard from Superfast Worcestershire that some properties are already getting a g.fast service from that cabinet. But that it's not for sale yet. They don't know why.

All seems a bit obscure to me.

It's not about an issue with your fibre service, which is the purpose of that board

But PN don't and currently have no plans to offer G.Fast as far as I'm aware.

Turns out that the availability checkers, presumably all based off the Openreach one, even offer g.fast to the properties on *both* sides of mine.

Yet Openreach say the reason it's not offered to me is line length to the cabinet.
