Is Plusnet going to support DoH (DNS over HTTPS)?

Hi Chandu,

DoH is not something an ISP an influence.

It is implemented in the browser and then the browser sends the DNS requests over HTTPS to the DNS provider of the browsers choice.

Firefox are using cloudfare as the DNS provider https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-dns-over-https

@RichardB From the post I read it appeared that though it is browser based, some ISPs do not allow the DoH.  It is possible that I may have misunderstood. However, clarification from PN staff will be appreciated.

Hi @chandu,

I've asked our products team about this and they have advised that there are no current plans to support DoH but that customers are welcome to use a third party solution for this if they wish. However, please bear in mind that Plusnet Safeguard won't work if you switch to using a DoH provider.
