Inserting file for my webpages

I am creating a webpage.  That is easy enough, but what I have never done and need to do is insert a PDF file.  How do I create a link for a PDF file that I have created?  Do I have to load the PDF to a separate folder and what would be the link to allow people to download it?  Looking forward to your answers

Re: Inserting file for my webpages

If you just copy the file anywhere in your webspace and then give a direct link - I assume you don't want it to be found by people browsing the site
The link would then be www.mywebspace.co.uk/file.pdf - if it is in the root directory or  www.mywebspace.co.uk/folder//file.pdf if it is in another folder

Re: Inserting file for my webpages

Thanks, but it seems not to work.  I feel that I am going to have to set up an account where I can keep online files.  So that is the route I am taking.  When it works!  Keep plodding on
