Idiot's Guide to setting up my Webspace

Can anybofy point me to where I can find a simple guide to setting up the Menu structures and .HTM pages on my webspace. All I want to do is:

• Set up a frontpage with a Navigation (side)Bar


• Nested Sidebar menus for Documents and Pictures


• Protect some of the Menu elements from general access by Password or UserID or similar means
