I am having trouble pointing my Plusnet domain name to another hosting site.

The other site is directing me to setup my DNS records as follows
create an A record that points to: 23.236.62.147
create a Cname record that points to: www247.wixdns.net ( error messages appears and I can not continue)
any advice?

Click 'configure' next to your domain name here and then click 'configure dns records'. When adding the cname, make sure you put a qualifying '.' on the right-hand side, e.g.
www     cname    www247.wixdns.net.
