I can see how to get at the Apache access log from the control panel, but how can I get at the error log? It's hard to debug .htaccess errors without it, and its also useful for finding broken links.
AFAIK you'd need to use RewriteLog which isn't going to be possible in a shared hosting environment. Slightly unrelated but there's some info on PHP logging here if it's of any use to you.
