Hit counter

I've managed to add a hit counter to my homepage using the script provided by Plusnet.  My question is whether it is possible to get this counter to increment if a visitor enters and leaves my website on any other page, without visiting the homepage.  I wouldn't necessarily want to show the counter on the other pages.

Re: Hit counter

Use a server side script language -
Perl - hoew ever that works, seems to be a popular choice for certain scripts.
PHP - use a counter include.
or similar sevrer side language.

Re: Hit counter

The script I used is the one linked to by PJ.
There are a couple of scripts provided for email form and hit counter which can be used without a cgi service (which I don't have on my account).  I just wondered if I could add a call to the same counter from other pages than the one the counter is displayed on.
I don't know about Google webstats. There seem to be other free hit counter offers out there.  I was just hoping I could do it all with the Plusnet script.
