I have found some info for this, but nothing I have tried works. Names below are made up.
I have mysite.co.uk hosted by Plusnet. It is forever being archived due to the very small bandwidth allowances.
I have now also got mysite.com hosted elsewhere following advice from Plusnet.
I would like mysite.co.uk to automatically redirect to mysite.com and do it file by file, so that, for example, mysite.co.uk/1.jpg will redirect to mysite.com/1.jpg.
Plusnet say this is possible, but can't offer any help. I have read about .htaccess files, but am a newbie to all this.
Any simple info would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks

That would be
(or without the www.) in a .htaccess file placed in the home folder of your old site.

Redirect 301 / http://www.mysite.com/

Thanks - finally worked when I turned on the CGI stuff for my site.
Not sure why Plusnet support couldn't have helped me as it was their idea......
