Having calls from someone claiming to be PlusNet marketing

I'm having calls from a company claiming to be doing marketing for PlusNet and saying that want to review my account.   They are asking for quite a lot of information over phone, address, characters of password, start numbers of bank account details.  They are using 01143073836, does anyone if it's genuine, or what it's about.

It is genuine - but it is not PN directly, it is a company they employ for market research.

If you don't want them to contact you, amend your communication preferences.

We use a third party to contact customers in some circumstances, for example if you've asked us to call regarding your interest in a new product (like mobile) or if you're coming to the end of your contract/discount period.
