Has Plusnet been Hacked

Last week I logged onto or opened firefox, some thing like that and up popped a you have won £50 blah blah blah just complete this survey to win £50 from PlusNet or wording to that effect... so I phoned plusnet give my user name when asked for my password, I told them I don't know and don't care what it is, but if you check your details you will see that I have pre re-paid my line rent for the 3rd or 4th year running.

Any way, I then went on to say about the pop up box and give them them the http:// line etc etc etc

All good, until I got a text message from Plusnet and I quote

[sic] We would love some feedback on your recent conversation with the team.  If you have 5 minutes please visit https:// www.surveymonkey.com/s/NC5RJSV

It's the same lot surveymonkey only a shorter line

Right now that I have told every one that gives a monkey where is my £50

Did you use the correct email address associated with your old forum account (not your Plusnet account?).

Perhaps @Chris can sort it out for you.

The text message re surveymonkey would be genuine, but no idea about the pop-up.

Yep, the old forum was SMF powered, this is a Lithium based one......

I've seen that survey a few times.

It pops up randomly on different ad links. It looks genuine like all the other crappy surveys. I expect they get paid per click by plusnet.

It's worth noting that it has been reported by other ISPs too.
