Graphic Toolkits in PHP5 environment

I am running a Gallery2 photo album embedded in Joomla.
Using the advice in other threads I have modified .htaccess to get Joomla and Gallery to work, however Gallery cannot find the ImageMagik and NetPBM graphics toolkits.
The previous directory path for both toolkits set in Gallery was "/usr/bin/"
Anyone any idea what the setting should be now, or maybe these toolkits are not yet installed?
