That’s not good! I’ve just re signed with plusnet and bt sport was part of the reason. If true I’m not too happy about it.

@PeterLoftus must admit I had forgotten about that story.

BT Sport via satellite and BT Sport app can be added to the long list of 'sunset products' that plusnet now have.

When I used my BT Sport android app 17th April I was invited to join for free Discovery + providing I qualified for the service, which I did. I had to create a login but not required to add any payment details.

I haven’t received an invitation but through hearing about the change of name to TNT sport I looked into things and discovered the free discovery + (for now) signed up via the BT website on my plusnet subscription and it all works. Watched the WEC Sportscar racing on Eurosport. How long this addition will last, remains to be seen.

I wonder if they'll transfer BT sports customers to Warners Discovery plus then put the cost of Disc.plus subscription up ? Is there anything on BT Community forum?

So it's all happened and I'm without TNT Sport and my Plusnet Contract ends this month!

what to do?

Because of my wife's and My involvement with supporting our local community we still use our landline but most of the cheapest broadband offers don't include landline particularly 24/7 like we have.

Also sport is important to me.

I'm thinking of renewing my Plusnet contract and taking out a NOW SKY Sports subscription

Any ideas?

I was a bit miffed when the announcement came only a few weeks after I re subscribed for 18 months. Had I known I’d have moved elsewhere. Three home broadband is way cheaper and the 5G is between 800-1000 meg. I can live without the landline but I won’t be taking up the offer of landline free Plusnet for a further 24 months at 35 meg. Once my contract is up, I’m off. Very disappointed with Plusnet/BT.
Don’t get me started on the hassle I had closing my plusnet rolling contract mobile sim. 😡
P.S. Landlines will be history in a couple of years anyway.
