Re: FTTP

Are you sure on that Vodafone deal @piratepete108?  Their website says from £30 a month on the tier that offer all their speeds, so I'd guess that is for the slower speeds.  The cheapest I can see the 900Mbps offering is £60 a month.  I'm not sure if that is via the Openreach network either, as it says it's not available to me, though FTTP is and other providers can supply me that, though that might be because of the interconnects that Vodafone have at my Headend.

Re: FTTP

If you click on the £60 a month 900Mbs deal it comes up as a black Friday 50% off deal , so £30

Re: FTTP

I can't see that anywhere, but there is a number of sites referencing Vodafones Black Friday deal of 910Mbps being "just £60"

Re: FTTP

Shell have announced their FTTP prices on 18 month contracts as follows:

100mbps down, 20mbps up £30.99

200/30 £35.99

300/50 £39.99

500/75 £43.99

900/115 £49.99

Also out of interest their FTTC prices are the same across both speed profiles 40/1 and 80/20, as they are with Now Tv broadband

Re: FTTP

Any news on PN offering an FTTP package yet?

I've just been notified that OR have completed the FTTP work in our village and that I should contact my provider to upgrade.

Re: FTTP

@starchild

I'm afraid there will no news until there's news. Last unofficial word was by end of January.

You can double check FTTP availability by using the following, You're looking for WBC FTTP in the left hand column and Available in the right side of the results.

Re: FTTP

Thanks @bmc - it's showing as available at my address.

Just need to wait for PN to catch up now!

As our village used a community grant to get OR to provide the infrastructure then I am contracted to take out an FTTP package within a reasonable amount of time after OR had completed their work. If PN drag their feet (as they have been doing!) then myself and everyone else in our village who use PN will need to move away from them as a service provider.

Re: FTTP

@starchild

You can move to BT or EE FTTP free of any PlusNet early termination charges (as things stand). You just need to let them know.

Re: FTTP

Hiya @starchild, I'm pleased FTTP is now in your area though sorry it's not something we can yet offer you.

The information @bmc has provided is correct, but please note you would need to go through our Customer Options team to be able to leave without penalty should you take up FTTC with BT or EE.

You'd just need to call our Customer Options Team and they will transfer you across, they are contactable directly on 0800 013 2632 and they are open between the following hours:

Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 20:00
Saturday: 09:00 - 19:00
Sunday: 09:00 - 18:00

If this post resolved your issue please click the 'This fixed my problem' button
