Since Wednesday evening, I have been unable to FTP to my website's data server in the US.
The staff there tell me there is no problem, and I think they are right, as my son and a friend, who have different ISPs (BT and Sky) can FTP to my server.
I can FTP to servers in this country.
I have tried using a wireless laptop, and a wired desktop.
I have switched off my virus protection and my firewall.
I have used my regular FTP client (settings unchanged for months) and a different client.
I can ping the server without problems.
However, FTPing through the command line interface doesn't prompt me to log in, and the connection is closed by the remote host.
Plusnet support staff could offer no further suggestions and asked me to submit a Wireshark file, which I did on Thursday night.
I called them today as I had heard nothing and they said I just had to wait.
In the meantime, if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free....
