I'm updating my personal website and my contact form needs PHP enabled. I've had a look at the PlusNet PHP guide, but it's too technical for me I'm afraid.
I understand that PlusNet has implemented PHP5 in the last couple of years and that, in theory, my contact form should work.
My present web site is in the PlusNet htdocs folder.
My account has CGI activated.
Can you advise how I can set up my PHP contact form – ie, can the form reside in the same folder as the rest of the site, or how do I tell the form to find/use PHP...?
Many thanks.
🐵
PS – I’m using a web design/build application called RapidWeaver on a Mac (if it makes any difference...)

It sounds like you have your website on the standard 'homepages' webserver (you upload to it using ftp.plus.net). If that is the case, PHP is not available.
You'd need your site to be on the ccgi server. See https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=mywebsite&?membermenu=websitesettings to activate CGI.

Thanks for your reply Jelv.
I had previously been to the linked page you suggested and activated CGI.
I can't see any instruction/help on how to upload the site to the cgi server though - any suggestions gratefully received...

The ftp server for ccgi is cshell.plus.net
