Embedding Video Clips

I want to include a video clip in my website. However, when the relevant page appears the video appears in a screen area that has "controls" (start button etc)on it.  Is there any way I can get rid of this?

http://www.pcurtis.com/media.htm may help. Look for the ShowControls and ShowStatusBar options although I always prefer to allow watchers to control the video.
Also be careful as embeding objects differs between IE and FireFox browsers, at least it was that last time I tried something similar.
