Drupal 7 Clean URLs

Does anyone know if it's possible to get Drupal 7 "Clean URLs" working on the PlusNet ccgi site?

Re: Drupal 7 Clean URLs

I haven't installed Drupal but I'd expect clean URLs to work with appropriate .htaccess settings. What failure are you getting?

Re: Drupal 7 Clean URLs

I'm getting "The clean URL test failed" and "Clean URLs cannot be enabled" when using Drupal 7's built-in Clean URL compatibility test option. The .htaccess is as provided by the D7 installation. I've tried adding Options -MultiViews but that doesn't seem to help. I tried introducing a syntax error and got a 500 internal error so I know the .htaccess file is being processed.

Found it - I needed to uncomment "RewriteBase /" in the .htaccess file. The test passes now, so I'll have a go at enabling it.

Well done. Smiley
Based on guidance documentation it seems that is a common requirement.

Re: Drupal 7 Clean URLs

Yes, I spotted it in the blurb eventually. I'm new to Drupal and not exactly a whizz with Apache (and especially mod_rewrite!) so there's a bit of a learning curve. Interesting stuff though.
