Domain Transfer

I wish to transfer my personal domain from Plusnet where it has been held for many years but have concluded I really need to have control over things going forward, even though it will be more expensive (Hostinger).

I have looked at various threads on the forum and it looks like it's possible for the transfer to be handled by someone on here. I am okay with this but would like to know the best way to do this at minimal disruption, as losing incoming emails for anything more than a few hours would be very disruptive, with various 'life' issues going on at present!

I have the IPS Tag available and would be okay to amend DNS records when possible

Thanks

Re: Domain Transfer

@greybeard99 are you aware that Plusnet will be migrating all email and hosted domains to a specialist provider over the next few months ?

See https://www.plus.net/help/email-guides/

and the linked FAQ https://www.plus.net/help/email-account-changes/

Re: Domain Transfer

No! Haven't seen that - has it been advertised anywhere?

Would seem to be best to go with this, unless anyone thinks otherwise?!

Is there any indication of when this will happen other than next few months?

Thanks for the response

Re: Domain Transfer

Fix

It hasnt been advertised as such but as you can see , its linked in the official Help & support pages.

Is there any indication of when this will happen other than next few months?

Its being rolled out across the various Plusnet brands e.g Madasfish, Free-online etc. Its a phased approach , taking the smaller brands first and then eventually on to the brands with larger user-bases. A initial comms is sent giving advance notice of migration. In your case with (I assume?) a main Plusnet brand account with a hosted domain, the migration will be one of the later tranches.
