Re: No broadband

Thanks! We can’t get full fibre yet, although something has been added to all the telephone poles recently.

DNS servers down (previous topic deleted)

Saw the previous topic was obviously deleted.

Still no joy after being down since 20:45.

West Sussex.

Re: DNS servers down (previous topic deleted)

Thank you to whoever mentioned the Two — sadly can’t get it as we can’t get full fibre here yet. I will keep an eye out though.

Re: DNS servers offline?

@dvorak it's not just full fibre, I replied in the broadband section.

Having said that, well done though for cleaning up after us. 👍

Re: DNS servers offline?

Possibly this thread should be in Broadband rather than Full Fibre. I went with the service I'm on. 🙂

Re: DNS servers down (previous topic deleted)

Moderator merged the thread here into my thread on the Full Fibre board here: https://community.plus.net/t5/Full-Fibre/DNS-servers-offline/td-p/1937740

Re: DNS servers down (previous topic deleted)

Previous topic was merged with one in the Full Fibre section but it is affecting all Broadband.  Check the thread there.

Moderators Note

Topics merged and thread moved as it's not a connection issue and impacts Full Fibre and xDSL

Re: DNS servers offline?

hey moderator hmmm moving a thread like this for reasons....rights in the middle of problems that then doesn;t work properly or something is quite annoying let us say, i can now not seem to get to the thread end for updates or whatever

Not that I’m aware of, they need to seriously change that!

Re: No broadband

Not working here either (Staffordshire). Rebooted router multiple times. Definitely Plusnet's DNS as I can't ping it but I can ping Google's DNS (8.8.8.8). No option to change the DNS on my BT router unfortunately so just waiting...

Re: No broadband

any info on this from plusnet yet?

amazing how broken internet searching is these days and we've yet to get so called AI putting the final nail in.

it's like being back 30 years ago where you can't find anything, but at least then it wasn't a constant fight against en[-Censored-]ification and adverts

Re: No broadband

I'm not technical, but have found a workaround - use a VPN.  Absolutely no idea why this works, I found out by accident (desperation!) that turning on my VPN service got things working again.

Been driving me mad for the past hour, thinking that some bit of hardware had failed, not least because I was playing with a 4G gateway this afternoon and thought I might have broken something!

Re: DNS servers down (previous topic deleted)

Would this affect my Plusnet Mobile connection too? It seems to have gone down now 🙄
