Re: Cannot get directory listings fro the FTP server

Have you tried an active rather than passive connection to see if it is any different?
Does a dos FTP connection do the same, what about other email clients.
Have you tried with any software firewalls disabled?
Have you tried a router & PC reboot?

Re: Cannot get directory listings fro the FTP server

Could it be connected to this problem raised yesterday afternoon?

Re: Cannot get directory listings fro the FTP server

It does sound related to that problem, I'm catching up on the issues at the moment and we should have an updated service status out shortly.

I have tried this on two computers off the same Broadband connection and get identical results.
Many thanks,

Re: Cannot get directory listings fro the FTP server

Chris, PjMarsh, Peter Vaughan,
I tried dialling in via my btinternet ( doug.h.rice@btinternet ) account and I can FTP up to the WWW server via that route. ( I tried at 07:30 am today )

If I use my plusnet broadband connection:
I cannot use Filezilla for FTP (active) FTP(passive) or SFTP to the www server.
I can use Filezilla for FTP (active) FTP(passive) or SFTP to the ccgi server. SFTP was slow to connect taking about 5 seconds to do the next command.
I normally use SFTP to the ccgi server as we have had similar problems connecting to the ccgi server.
I have tried disabling firewalls on the PC and Plusnet account, but this did not work.
I hope this is helpful.
thanks,
Doug

Re: Cannot get directory listings fro the FTP server

Morning guys,
dougrice, do you still have the wireshark capture? We've got one here from our test line but that wasn't having the same issues, if you can supply one of you logging into the server and running a list command that would be great. Either pop it on a ticket or PM me and I'll give you an email address to send it to.

Re: Cannot get directory listings fro the FTP server

Also if you are still having problems can you try ftp2.plus.net and see if this works?

I tried using ftp.plus.net - same problem.
Iwill raise a fault ticket to supply wire share capture.
