interesting but very odd - it reports this
The current Downstream BRAS rate is: 50.17 Mbps
The current Upstream BRAS rate is: 20 Mbps
but my sync speed is 54.19
this would explain the rather low speed test results

That tool reports my d/s BRAS as 8.53 - as does the BT test, but RSL reports my connection speed as 9.67

88.2% for ADSL is fine according to Kitz, Jim's profile is rather odd though.

thanks @MatthewWheeler interesting the reported downstream speed is less than that reported by the router which is apparently a function of the retransmission high setting
also how do they decide that there is regular interference on the customers premises
I agree that there is constant interference but this is down to the very low noise margin of 1.4dB downstream and 2.8dB upstream showing up on the FEC errors
downstream about 13000 FEC per minute and upstream about 300 FEC per minute
I suspect that a resync may be called for

done a resymc
Connection speed (kbps): 50149 8004
SNR margin (dB): 3.4 6.2
IP Profile now about 46 so will see how long before the DLM reacts as the FEC errors have dropped drastically
