Can't FTP to cgi server

Why can't I get an FTP connection to the CGI server at the moment? I thought it had been upgraded and that the DOS attacks had been repulsed now.

I can get a connection but  get "! Retrieve of folder listing failed (4)".

Well - I am getting through sometimes! I am using CUTE FTP and so long as I keep firing it up and shutting it down - I seem to be able to transfer a few files every third or fourth go.
Am I getting the full benefit of 8 meg? ...or what!
Still frustrated....Trevor
