CCGI has stopped working, HELP!

Approximately 6 weeks ago I could view the index .htm of my ccgi space and run cgi scripts.

I have not uploaded anything new.

Now the site does not respond:

"We can’t connect to the server at ccgi.davepatterson.plus.com."

"This page can’t be displayed"

cgi scripts produce the same response.

I have raised a ticket....

It looks like someone at plusnet needs to have an urgent look at this.

I am not the only one reporting this issue on the forum!

I checked my friend's plusnet site- it has exactly the same issue!

Thanks for getting in touch and welcome to the forum. I am sincerely sorry to here you are experiencing an issue with your webspace, and have not heard of any wide spread issue at this moment in time.

We are currently taking all each case on an individual basis, and I have raised this to the relevant team to look into for you. They will update you via the ticket you have raised with their findings.

Re: CCGI has stopped working, HELP!

@davepatterson, I've fixed this for you.

It's required a DNS rebuild though so you'll need to wait 24 hours or so for the changes to be reflected.

Let me know if things still aren't working tomorrow.

Re: CCGI has stopped working, HELP!

Fix

Fantastic!

I have tested index.htm and a couple of my cgi apps.

They worked.

Thank you @bobpullen

I need to test some more of the cgi apps to be fully certain- however if it was dns then, in theory, if one or two work they all should.

PS my friend's site at http://ccgi.highfen.plus.com/ is experiencing exactly the same problems

Re: CCGI has stopped working, HELP!

It doesn't look like your friend has access to the CGI platform. If the service wasn't used/logged into within a period of time following migration to a new platform some years ago, then their account will have been closed.
