Business account and transferred in domain...

Hello
If I recommend a new business to plusnet and they have a new business account and transfer in their domain, will they be charged £52 or so every two years to renew their domain or would it be free???  reason for asking is they currently pay £7 for this and i've been caught out before when recommending........

Hi Robtheplod,
This will depend on the domain name, the Business product they subscribe to and if the domain is also moved to us for registration.
First, registration can remain external, thus renewal costs remain with a third party. In this setup, we can host the domains website and email, but incur no renewal costs with us.
For the Business product, this table shows what is included. Only .co.uk domains are included, so if it is a non-uk domain, two year renewal charges will apply depending on the type of domain.
So for a Business Option 2 with a .co.uk that is moving for registration as well as hosting, the domain will on request become the included domain and we will renew it every two years, provided it is still on an applicable product at the point it is due for renewal.
The same with Business Option 1, would mean that renewal charges would be applicable every two years.

thanks, so if the domain name is a .co.uk one and the domain has an 'included' .co.uk domain in the package then they will never be charged a renewal fee on the 2 year anniverary?
