Anybody used blogger.com

Trying to use blog from blogger.com and it gives option to host blog in your own space. I am attempting to do this in my cgi space with no joy. When blogger.com try to ftp into my space it times out or I get invalid host. I'm using ccgi.username.force9.co.uk (obviously substituting username), is the problem to do with ftp server path it asks for which I'm not sure of.
Has anyone achieved this?

Access to the CCGI FTP server is only possible from a PlusNet (or Force9/Free-Online/Metronet) IP Address, so the blogger servers won't be able to connect.
It should work for the www.username.force9.co.uk space though.
