Account renewel and digital landlines switchover

We have recieved our BB package renewel email outlining new deals ect, at the moment we have BB along with home phone which my wife wants too keep. I am struggling a bit understanding the deals offered specially when the phone lines are going digital in 2027 so some advice please. We do not require superfast speeds but do have and use tv streaming so a simple package will do one that I can easily understand as we are both in our mid 70's but not quite senile yet.

Many thanks

Brian

@longshanks67

I have no doubt that all the offers you have received from Plusnet will be for SoGEA or Full Fibre, that is, no telephone service. This all that Plusnet is supplying once the PSTN phone service is shut down at the beginning of next year..

You may be able to renew your current service for a bit longer but to be honest, with a contract renewal coming up, you might as well bite the bullet and move to a digital phone service now.

If/when you ring Plusnet, their only offering for a combined service will be to move you to EE.

Other options are to move to a different ISP, just about all the altenatives offer a combined internet/phone service, or stay with Plusnet and move your phone number to a third party VoIP provider.

If you need further advice an any option, do ask.

Re: Account renewel and digital landlines switchover

Many thanks for the information, it looks like I will be leaving plusnet after 18 years as a cistomer, advice on an alternatve supplier will be most appreciated, using the criteria as above.

Again thankyou
