A verses B

A client wanted a last minute colour modification before this site goes online at its proper address.
I am looking for opinions as my eyes have gone square working on it:
Old: www.seanbranagh.ie/quinn/accounting
New: www.seanbranagh.ie/quinn2/accounting
Some content still needs added to the main page also.

Good, I prefer the darker version myself.

Re: A verses B

One my screen the white on dark grey is a bit clearer (1680 x 1050) however the white text is a bit blurred
Increasing the default size slightly to 110% fixes it - alternatively I think increasing the character spacing in the text my also work
Other than that I do prefer the first one as it is a bit easier on the eye

Re: A verses B

Not keen on the one with the turd coloured background!
The letter spacing of the menus looks tight on both. I think changing from Arial Narrow to normal Arial would fix it without increasing the font size.
#nav li {
font:14px "arial narrow",arial,sans-serif;
list-style:none outside none;
}

Re: A verses B

Yes, the client has since emailed back saying the much prefer the dark version so I am going ahead with that.
Thanks for pointing out the typo, I will fix that. That was the only good thing about Microsoft Frontpage, the spellchecker. Shame Dreamweaver does not have one although it is better in every other way!

Re: A verses B

I don't use Dreamweaver but I Googled on the off-chance there was an add-on and found:

The first reply to http://forums.adobe.com/thread/284651 might also help.

Re: A verses B

Thank you. I will look into that. As you can probably see from my forum posts, my spelling is absolute rubbish  Grin

Re: A verses B

It is always good the way everyone has different opinions on things. The client prefered the darker version so that was the decision made. I am just happy that it is finished so I can send the bill. That is the bit I like  Smiley
