A problem accessing a login site

Please can anyone help with this?

I've had a Tesco Mobile PAYG account for several years, but just recently I've been unable to login as usual.

Using my Plusnet connection and router, a wifi connection to a Windows PC, and the Firefox browser, I can access the login page attached.

I have not changed anything recently, but now, when I click on 'Pay as you go', I get the message "Please enable JS and disable any ad blocker". I've never had this before
I have cleared the cache, tried using a different browser, and tried using a different router, but no change.

And when I use Chrome on my phone, and wifi to my Plusnet connection and router, I get the same message.
So it doesn't look like a problem with my PC.

But if I use Chrome on my phone, and mobile data instead of the router, it works fine.

And if I use my PC, but connect via my phone as a mobile data hotspot, it also works fine.

The problem only occurs when I'm using my Plusnet broadband connection. Has anything changed recently?

Thanks for any help.

Re: A problem accessing a login site

Have you got Plusnet SafeGuard enabled ?

If so, try going here - https://www.plus.net/my-account/safeguard/

and switching it OFF, and seeing whether that makes a difference ?

Re: A problem accessing a login site

Thanks, but no that isn't turned on.

I tried making the site I want to access 'Allowed', but that didn't help.

Re: A problem accessing a login site

Interesting. I get the same problem: "Please enable JS and disable any ad blocker"

But only on the PAYG login tab - not the Pay Monthly one. JS is already enabled on my browser.

Re: A problem accessing a login site

@bobpullen / @dave

This is the link under discussion - https://www.mytescomobile.com/ click the sign-up / my account button.

On my iPhone (Safari) on WiFi (Plusnet connection fixed IP) I see the error. Turn off WiFi (use mobile network) it loads the sign up page fine.

Looks as though done part of the CB intent is not being loaded across the network. Will attempt to get more diagnostics later.

Re: A problem accessing a login site

Just for completeness of the permutations of mobile/Openreach and/or Plusnet/non-Plusnet combinations -

I'm NOT seeing this issue on my non-Plusnet Openreach broadband using Firefox 113 on Linux.

According to Firefoxs browser console

Loading failed for the <script> with source “https://ct.captcha-delivery.com/i.js”.

Re: A problem accessing a login site

That's interesting that there is a 'captcha' issue !

Recently I've been seeing ONLY when trying to access Plusnet website pages (from my non-Plusnet broadband), that in order to proceed to the page I'm trying to access, I have to complete the 'captcha' challenge often 20 to 40 times (checking all squares containing traffic lights, stairs, cars, bikes, etc) before Plusnet eventually allows me in !.

Re: A problem accessing a login site

Never had any issues getting to Plusnet pages from my non-Plusnet connection (Zen, over OpenReach, on a Linux machine, using Firefox).

Re: A problem accessing a login site

Thanks for that.

I've noticed that when I click the PAYG link, the page changes from

https://www.tescomobile.com/customer/account/login/
to
https://www.mytescomobile.com/

Which gives the message Please enable JS and disable any ad blocker

I don't see a captcha request at all.

And I'm only getting this at the tesco site. I have no problem accessing the Plusnet site.

Re: A problem accessing a login site

@Nigel56 I get that too. Disabling (for the specific site -only) still results in the same message being repeated. Note, I'm using a Linux distribution, and don't know if JS runs in that environment, but as this is the only time I have seen this, I suspect it does, at least for sites requiring it.

If I follow that link (on non-Plusnet broadband) and enter a made up username and password (because I don't have an account), I see this -

Re: A problem accessing a login site

Did you click on Pay as you go, rather than Pay monthly?

The PAYG option doesn't ask for username and password, but asks for the mobile number.

Re: A problem accessing a login site

Just tried again, I must have clicked [Pay monthly]

Pressing [Pay as you go] with a made up mobile number just gives me "Invalid mobile number"
