1.6Gbps 2025 and No Signs

Its 2025 and I can easily get 1.6Gbps via EE etc..

So what is going on with Plusnet ?

I don't even need a router - just activate my line and take my money.

Re: 1.6Gbps 2025 and No Signs

Plusnet is a budget brand and have not announced any plans for the 1.6Gbps product, which is likely to be seen as a premium product and thus for the BT family will likely remain as an EE product.

@DDS

Do you actually need 1.6 bps?

Yes - why?

There are 6 heavy duty gamers and updates for game releases are like 100Gb+.

So when new releases come out and we all need to patch up to get gaming the same evening - speed is everything.

Is that a good enough reason?

@DDS

100Gb = 12.5GB, so not particularly large.

@DDS

Fair enough.

If you want 1.6 at this time then you will need to move. You can transfer to BT / EE free of early termination charges if organised through PN. Moving would mean the loss of PN email addresses if this matters.

If near the end of your contract then you can pick and choose which ISP you go to - Zen Internet is well regarded.
