sending bulk emails

I'm using Outlook Express and want to send out ocassional messages to all my dog rescue helpers.

I've set up a seperate address book with them in but a short test message just sat there - I've 50 addresses - is that too many? am I being caught in a Spam trap?

TIA

It is what they call tar-pitting.

To try and stop people from bulk-mailing so much, they allow a limit of EG, 10 addresses, after which, aditional addresses take there time, at a rate of, 1 per 30 seconds (time and limits not exact).

Try reducing the size of each group, or split them into seperate groups of 10.

OK thanks for the info - I'll split them as suggested - no doubt after asking them for help 50% will disappear anyway :-)

Im pretty sure that the "Tarpitting" has been increased to start after 20 emails instead of the original 10.
Try that and see if it works. Wink

Have a look at www.worldmerge.com to solve the problem. It's free and very good

OK thanks - but I don't want to pay for a fairly low volume voluntary newsletter - I'll just split as suggested.
