What ADSL equipment and firewall do they have as yours is working.

If their ADSL hardware has UPNP capabilities then this should be enabled in their router. If not you are going to have to find the ports to port forward on their router/modem and/or software firewall.

Also you must have the UPNP function of the DG834 enabled.

Can this other person view other people's web cam's via MSN?

Do you UPnP enabled within WIndows? and does your firewall on your PC allow access to ports 1900 and 5000?

I can provide you the rules for your pc firewall if needed, as I had to add them to mine.

Hi,

The rules are easy, but I'll need to look up your firewall tonight, to see how to go about adding detailed rules.

Have you added any outbound rules to your router? since the default rule is to allow all outbound traffic. It might be F-secure which is blocking traffic from your webcam. Have you tried allowing Msn Messenger to have all access?

The basic rules for UPnP are:

Port 1900 (Local) - UDP Both Directions, Address 239.0.0.0, IP Mask 255.0.0.0
Port 5000 (Remote) - TCP Outgoing , Any local port.
Port 1900 (Remote), Local Any - UDP Both Directions

Do you know if you can add detailed rules for your firewall?
