Since last week my normal /usr/bin/ftp client (SuSE 8.2) does not work well. I can still connect ftp.plus.net and login into my account but only commands such as pwd, or cd work, and commands like put, get, or even ls fall in timeout. Using another ftp client (cmdftp) I could upload and download files. And the normal ftp still work fine on another ftp host. Has anyone had the same problem ?
I can't say I've tried manually, but I have ftp running on a schedule many times a day uploading data - it hasn't shown any problems. It would include put commands and also rename once they are uploaded.
