WinMX Problems

Hi,

Over the weekend, my connection to the WinMX network seems to have changed. I am no longer able to download or upload anything at all. People enter my queue but always time-out.
I have changed absolutely nothing on my setup, nor have I installed or updated an of my software.
Is anyone else having similar problems?
I have all the correct ports setup on my firewall and router and are at a loss as to what's happened!
I have done the usual, shutdown/re-boot etc to no avail.
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Tim.

Hi,

I am on ADSL Home Self-Install at £21.99 per month.
Why are you asking?

WinMX Problems

Liam was asking because "Home Surf" doesn't support Peer to Peer usage.

Your account should however.
I have had this in the past and found I had to uninstall and reinstall WinMx to overcome it.

WinMX Problems

Hi,

No worries re:question, I was just curious.
I actually have 2 pc's and both stopped responding to WinMX at the same time which is why I became concerned.
I've just uninstalled and re-installed WinMX on one machine and it now works! Cheesy :?
Just very bizarre as to why both machines would stop responding! lol!

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,
Tim.

well P2p apps suck, so maybe its like one of the built in bugs that made it stop working. Who knows..
