Web site links

I'm new to this, which explains why I need to ask this question.

When creating a link from within my website using the wizard, I can easily create a link to another site.

What I want to do though is create a link to my mailbox so that when a visitor clicks on it, their e-mail software opens up and sends me a message.

When creating the link I need to know the http address for my mailbox?

Any advice offered will be gratefully recieved.

Thanks Gary.

Assuming you are using the "Website builder" on the Portal:

In the URL box you would type:

mailto:whatever@username.plus.com

while deleting the http:// bit as well - The text could be something like "Email Me"

Email does not have a http address, just include something like:

<a href="mailto:yourname@yourdomain.plus.com">Text to show like 'contact me'</a>

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Thanks Colin, that worked a treat!!

could I be really pushy and ask one more question?

In Website Builder can I change a html file name to 'index' so that it becomes the default home page? and can I do this without losing the current homepage?

Thanks again

Gary.

Website Builder does not have the option to rename a webpage you have created.

You will need to ftp to your www website and rename the file using the FTP client.
