Was it a typo that you left out a dot in the above? As it should be ftp.plus.net. Smiley

Yes you are right, it was a typo, but I did not mis-type it into the address bar. I can't understand, I just keep being told that this page cannt be found

Well, which browser are you using? Not all browsers support FTP, in which case, you'd need an FTP client.

An FTP connection is not the same as viewing a page in your browser. It is a method for transfering files to from a remote server or system - which I assume is what you are trying to do. While some browsers will allow you to do some FTP transfers (Internet Explorer is one), others don't and you will need a stand alone FTP program or 'client' as it is often refered to, to do any file transfers. There are many free versions around, just do a search on google for 'free FTP program'.

Hi Kevin

You should enter the URL prefixed with ftp://,
ftp://ftp.plus.net/

Using the "http://" prefix, you will get "Page can not be found", as the browser is looking for a web page.

If you are looking for a graphical ftp program, I recommend FileZilla, its free and open source.
http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/
