Strange problem with AVG

Anyone know why since I had AVG installed on my PC, most emails that come in to me have a paper clip by the side of them in my inbox - but have no actual attachment when you open them up?

Is it something to do with AVG signatures? I don't suppose I can turn the facility off, since I only have the free AVG version, but does anyone know anything about this?

... and does anyone reckon it's worthwhile paying for the full version? To be honest, I don't mind spending something on a programme that will really protect my system since I work from home and have just acquired broadband

Thanks.

Strange problem with AVG

Open Outlook Express

Click on tools then options then security and make sure there is not a tick in "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could be a potentially be a virus".

That should sort your problem out out.

Strange problem with AVG

Hi,

If you open up the AGV control center, double click on 'email scanner' option, select 'configure' and then remove the ticks from the two 'certify mail' options this will stop AGV sending those attachments.

cheers

Hi,

Thanks both. I've done what you suggested ... and .... it works!
