Hi assimulator,

Having read several of your posts across a lot of the forums I would suggest you do a lot more research before hosting other peoples files.

Surprising what information and tutorials you can find by careful searching using google.

Indeed. Using an ADSL connection to host lots of files could end up being quite slow - especially as even 2Mb lines are limited to 256k upstream.

2 things

As michaelscott says, 256k upload isn't going to get you anywhere if your trying to run a reasonable business venture.

Secondly, you should at least be on a business account.

CPanel's WebHost Manager is the best IMO: http://www.cpanel.net/ but it currently will only run on Red Hat, Mandrake, FreeBSD, OS X, SuSE and Red Hat Fedora systems.

Again, it's going to be very slow running off 256k.

i doubt it. you'd have to configure things manually instead.

I've used Webmin before, and found it to be a reasonable free alternative. On the downside it's not all that user friendly, and requires a bit of getting used to. Also I don't think there are Windows versions of it.
