Router problems?

The other day our house got a leak and it went into the telephone line box as it enters the house. Ever since then the PSTN line hasn't been working at 100% (it is much better now though). I have been experiencing frequent disconnects from the router ever since then. The router might also have been affected by the leak but I am unsure how to make sure it is either one or the other? Can anybody suggest what to do or suggest a good router to replace this one? (A new router would need the ability to forward ports on all of the 4 pc's). Thankyou in advance

I doubt the router is damaged, its more likely that the moisture in the line box is causing excessive noise on the line - remember ADSL is *alot* more sensitive to noise that we are - especially white noise...

As to a suitable replacement router without knowing which one you have its hard to advise... I like my DG834 personally...
