Quick Q's

Just a couple quick questions if I may.....

Whilst I've already got hosting for my website's, I do not currently have the facilities for a news server. I can get hold of the software that will enable me to host my own news server, thats no problem, but I'm wondering if the T's and C's would prevent my doing so......??

In the case of a no to the above, does PlusNet offer members the facility for our own NG hosted on PlusNet? (apologies if that doesn't make sense.... I'm half asleep)

TIA Smiley

Quick Q's

I suspect the answer to both Qs is no:

For the first you would have to run your news software on the CGI server and it is likely the usenet ports (119) will be blocked (as are most ports except things like HTTP, FTP, telnet and SMTP). You also can't run background applications as they will be killed when you log out of the CGI server.

For the second I have not heard of PlusNet offering usenet group access/creation for customers.

Thanks anyway Smiley
