PayPal Steal Money?

The only reason I can think that PayPal would be accused of stealing money is with these emails that are going around that claim to be from paypal wanting you to run a .pif.

I know I've certainly never had any bother with them over the last year or so.

PayPal Steal Money?

Never had a problem with PayPal and never heard of Moneybookers..

Providing it is not the Email scam as mention in an earlier reply (which a number of UK banks have been troubled with), there is another possible explanation.

I expect, as credit card laws are different in each country, the law suit may be over "disputed goods" where you as the purchaser have asked your UK credit card company to with hold payment (OK in UK Law).
Papal would have recovered the payment from the vendor as they will not have been paid by your card company (Their own in house procedure).
The vendor now sues PayPal for non payment ..... (if it's in the US, common practice)
What you are seeing is a different perspective from the purchaser (you, who is not out of pocket) and the vendor (who appears to have had his money "stolen")

PayPal Steal Money?

Paypal do like to steal money, though it isn't as bad as many people seem to make out.

If they are going to court over sommision, he should expect the case to fall at the first hurdle.

The whole stealing things stems down tot he fact that PayPal are not an official credit broker. They offer a servive that is different to a credit card organisation.

It stems from the fact that PayPal declare the receiver of funds as commiting fraud, and not the fraudster.

In a few simple steps

1: Buyer makes payment via PayPal

2: Buyer performs a chargeback through there credit card company.

3: Seller maked on PayPal system as fraudster.

4: Takes years to conteact PayPal and even get a "We won't talk to you".

EDIT:

All in all, that means that PayPal freeze your money and your seller status. Leaving you out of pocket.
