How old are the children and what do you want to stop them doing? It is important to know what you want to achieve before recomending anything.

For some it may be nude images and for others it may be more wide spread and include other none sexual blocking

Have a look at McAfee Internet Secuity also one of the problems related with Parental software is that it tends to block education information as well another thing i might suggest and many find it not the best idea is keep you computer where you can keep an eye of the usage for example in the living room or limit the time the child can use the internet cos there are many ways around Parental Control Software

if you have spare hardware (ie a 486+ to install on), ipcop with the dansguardian add-on is very good. ipcop offers a very effective firewall to any home network/pc. Dansguardian is very customisable and rather than relying on 'blocked' sites also looks for 'banned' words in the requested page content.
