Outlook Express Security

When Outlook Express communicates to the PlusNet servers, is this over a secure connection? Outlook Express seems to display the secure padlock icon briefly, but it's difficult to tell. It's only when my password is checked that I'm worried about, I don't care about the actual e-mails themselves.

The webmail feature on the PlusNet website doesn't use SSL encryption - do you consider this to be a problem?

Connections to the PlusNet mail servers can't be done using a secure connection and passwords are send in plaintext.

You can use webmail on the portal using a secure connection, simply visit it using a httpd instead of the http URL.
