MY Doom Emails

Although I have Norton Internet Security installed, and everytime it deletes infected e.mails, I am getting up to fifty a day that contain this virus. Is anyone else having this problem and do you think there is any solution.

NIS is doing it's job but there is little you can do to stop it as you can't control the senders of the email. While MyDoom's effectiveness if reducing, there is still a lot of traffic around containing it and there will be until more people block and delete it and stop getting infected. There are 2 versions of MyDoom, one targeted a Denial of Service (DoS) at SCO and the other Microsoft and both are expected to become ineffective on 12th Feb. Whether it means the virus will stop sending itself out once a PC is infected I don't know.

50 a day? Oh how I dream of 50 a day. At work we have been getting about 250 a day. That doesn't even include the NDR's for mails that we didn't send..... Sad
