Linuxant and Linksys and Mandrake 10.1

After struggling with Ndiswrapper I've switched to Linuxant and have made some progress but am still not quite there.

On booting, etho is found but driverloader can't find eth1. On completion of the boot the network is not connected and the routing table is empty. On the Linuxant web config page, if I click 'reload' the route table now has three entries, two for eth0 which is now Ok, but there is no default gateway entry for eth1. A network restart doesn't change the route table, but if I now manually add the gateway entry for eth1 and ifdown eth0, eth1 is now working.

Another reboot though, and I'm back to square 1.

So, there seem to be two problems--
- Why doesn't driverloader find eth1 on booting
- Why does the route table not keeep its entries

Can anyone help please?

Thanks

Allan

Problems probably due to fudge in the first place.
Try looking for the appropiate driver or a card that is supported by Mandrake. 10.1 or try another distro.

I've got an Intel card that doesn't start on startup yet works quite happily when you browse the web. Go and figure.

Have you tried www.mandrakeusers.org?

They're usually very helpful.

Thanks JT I think I'll stick with it a while longer, before binning anything.

Thanks Steve, too. I've done a lot of googling but not tried the mdk users as yet. I've been getting useful help from Linuxant, as I'm currently using their wrapper.
