Installing Invision Board

Hi all,

I'm trying to set-up an Invision board in my webspace - I've uploaded it okay (and have had my databas activated by Plus Net), however whenever I go to the install path - instead of being guided through the installation steps, I'm given the option to download the PHP file that I need to run!

How do I run the file? Normally I can just type in the webaddress and it loads up

Thanks

Installing Invision Board

Hi
sorry to ask some obvious questions here, but have you uploaded the forum files to your ccgi server or your www server?

The files need to be uploaded to your ccgi server.
Also have you activated the ccgi server in the portal?
This server can be activated through website settings under the "My account " heading.

Hope this helps.

Installing Invision Board

I like simple questions.

I uploaded them to via my FTP (which is obviously connected to the WWW server), I shall activate the CGI and then try again - thanks for the suggestion!

Installing Invision Board

Hi,

It's as I thought then, all your php files need to be uploaded to the ccgi server.
This is a relatively new server, and you will probably have to run a telnet command once you have finally got comfirmation that your server is up and running and your forum is uploaded.
This will set all the permmisions correctly ...we hope Wink
It is best you check out this thread in the CGI form
If you have any more problems please post in there , thanks Cheesy
