I wish Plusnet "supported" another user logging on

to my webspace via FTP - but - with restrictions.
And a different password......

I just want to allow another user read/write access to one particular folder within my standard Plusnet webspace.
Does anyone know if this is possible or not?

I was told on the support line that Plusnet don't "support" ways to do this, but not that it is impossible.

Do I have to do unixey command line things to make this work?
Please help!

Regards,

BS

It's certainly not possible on the standard webspace.

It might be possible to create some sort of web based login feature on the CGI server but it would be a lot of work.

What Chris says is certainly true... though in fact it isn't much work at all. However, as he says, you do need to have CGI space available.

Thanks guys.
I do have the CGI space active, and I can access it - however... I wouldn't know where to start pulling off a project like that!

Any reccomendations?

Have a look here... and don't worry, it's more simple than it looks. Cheesy

Another way you MIGHT do it quickly is with the frontpage server, by creating a subweb. It appears possible to add users to subwebs.
