Help required in migration away from onetel

A member of my family has been with onetel for bb and phone calls for a while now and has recently tried to move to another provider. I understand that the onetel product may be being provided over the tiscali network. Phone line rental was still to BT so it's not a fully unbundeled line.

The new provider used the mac code but spelt the family name wrong so the order backfired.

A new mac has been requested but the new provider have just come up with the excuse that they do not recognise the mac as it starts with the letteres LZ and this was a change made by BT without any onfo being passed to the ISPs'

Does this LZ mac key mean anything different to a standard mac and why are they now saying it will now take until dec to get the bb moved. It was originally meant to be sorted in Oct.

I had thought f migrating to this new isp myself but there CS appear pretty incompetant.

There have been some changes to BT Mac codes recently. Have a look at the ADSLguide pages at the following links:

Hope it helps!
