Email retrieval from another ISP and Outlook Express

Is it possible to use another ISP and Outlook Express to receive and send my email on PlusNet's servers? I have set up the account as per usual and it would seem that I can download my email but I cannot reply. I know I can use webmail but really want to use Outlook Express.

Many thanks

You would need to set the SMTP Server to be that of your other ISP and not relay.plus.net.

Sorry to contradict Colin, but you need to set up the POP server as the other ISP, and the SMTP server to relay.plus.net.

Your other ISP may not allow you to use their SMTP when you are connected to Plus.Net to prevent spam.

Colin was right in his reply.

The question sugests he is going to connect via another ISP, using dialup (or some other means)

The rest of his message also shows that he is downloading his mail OK, but fails to send. This also sugests what colin answered too.
